LCPS Highlights Club Deportivo Sterling / LCPS Futsal Final and Community Impact
We’re proud to see Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) highlight the inaugural Club Deportivo Sterling / LCPS Futsal Final and the impact of this growing Community Schools partnership.
Over the past two years, Club Deportivo Sterling has been working intentionally behind the scenes, not only to build an inclusive and affordable soccer club, but to create meaningful opportunities that bring families, schools, and the Sterling Park community together. This futsal league is a reflection of what’s possible when organizations align around a shared vision for youth access, belonging, and opportunity.
2025 Community Impact Highlight: Sterling Park Fall Classic
One of the most meaningful moments of our 2025 season was seeing soccer unite schools, families, and the Sterling Park community through the first-ever Sterling Park Fall Classic futsal league, launched in partnership with our local elementary schools.
Over seven weeks, elementary students from four Sterling Park schools participated in a league that was completely free for families. Club Deportivo Sterling provided the equipment, coaching, and referees, while our school partners provided the space, collaboration, and trust that made the program possible.
Participating schools included:
- Sully Elementary School
- Rolling Ridge Elementary School
- Sterling Elementary School
- Guilford Elementary School
The league concluded with a championship final between Sully Elementary School and Rolling Ridge Elementary School, with Sully Elementary crowned the Fall Classic champions.
Moments like this remind us why community partnerships matter. When children feel supported and families feel welcomed, the impact goes far beyond the field.
We are especially grateful to Rosana Nguyen and the LCPS Community Schools team for their trust, collaboration, and continued support of our mission. Sterling Park is our home, and we remain committed to investing in high-quality, community-centered programs that support our children both on and off the court.
